Buff Elementary is set to undergo a series of upgrades this summer, thanks to the overwhelming support from our community for our 2021 Bond. The bond measure includes improving health, safety, and security for all Jefferson County School District schools.
JCSD 509J has already replaced the south wing roof at Buff during Fall 2023. This work was critically needed to address the deteriorating condition of the roof ahead of the upcoming winter season. This ensures that our students and staff are protected from the elements, providing a warm, safe, and dry learning environment where our students can flourish. Already, the replacement of the roof has had a positive impact on the classrooms in the southeast wing. With no more leaks and classes running smoothly, this project has eliminated disruptions, providing a better environment for teaching and learning.
The upcoming summer will see the completion of the second phase of our roofing project, focusing on the gym, commons, and cafeteria.
In addition to the roofing projects, Buff Elementary will undergo a comprehensive HVAC upgrade. All heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units will be replaced. This improvement aims to create better teaching and learning conditions with proper ventilation and improved air quality for both students and educators.
We extend our gratitude to the community for making these crucial upgrades a reality. Without your support of our 2021 Bond, these projects would not be possible.
