Summer Bond Projects Prioritize Safety & Security with Building Access Improvements
Now more than ever, school safety is a priority for 509J students, staff and community members. The community's support of the 2021 Bond has allowed the district to conduct safety and security upgrades at all Jefferson County Schools this past summer.
With bond funding, all district schools are receiving upgraded key card/building access systems that only allow authorized individuals and district staff members to access the school building.
With the exception of Bridges High School, all 509J schools have existing key card access systems. However, technology has changed and the systems have been in need of upgrades. Bridges High School received an entirely new system.
Installation was completed in all schools in time for the beginning of the 2022-23 school year.
